With only a couple short-lived past projects to speak of, namely Left Out and Offsided, Marc Robert's fruition as an artist didn't happen overnight. Like most musicians growing up in a small town, Marc found refuge in music.
After years of learning to play guitar by covering his favorite artists, it wasn't until he bought an acoustic guitar that he decided to focus his efforts on songwriting. Working on the material he had written, it took Marc a few years to get to where he felt completely comfortable performing the songs he had, up to this point, only played for a few close friends.
Fast-forward to 2005. After demo-ing a number of songs on his friend's 8-track, Marc decided it was finally time to put his ideas to tape. He put together a band with some of his closest friends in Cory and Curtis Schiewek (of Existence is Song) and Steve Cuch. The band would spend the next 6 months hashing out the songs and preparing for their time at Easter Island Studios in Sudbury with local engineer and producer, Billy Bruhmuller.
As a result of the two weeks they spent at Easter Island, Marc (and his band) had managed to make a debut album they could all be proud of - Imprints.
